Slipping
-Dedicated to every woman or child who came face to face with the dark-
Slipping through colorless lanscapes into the unknown…
falling on your knees, could you ever let this go?
Defeated you stand in your stolen innocence,
disgusted by my chosen ignorance.
False pretenses blocking the air to your lungs,
into an abyss of destructive thoughts you plunge.
Gripping hands taking what you most cherished,
numbing your senses… pleading for death.
Bordering insanity, you slowly fall apart..
I am raw with emotion for your wounded heart.
I would sacrifice all I am just to help you forget…
the day as dark as his heart, when you and evil met.
Angels gather with tearstained eyes,
what he did they will never justify.
I cannot imagine how it must feel…
when cold reality becomes to real.
Crawling… staggering to your feet,
astonished by your bravery… my heart bleeds.
In this solemn hour the transformation is complete,
maybe someday you’ll find the answer you seek.
Barely visible, blind to your own sight…
you overcome the wicked shadows with your soft piercing light.
Fleeing from your shimmering glow…
He shines in you… and this you should know.
